Event Detail
Today, the IN Volunteer Group brought together more than 500 people from family and friends to go to 10 service centers in Hong Kong to carry out Mid-Autumn Festival activities, visits and send moon cakes to warm the 4,000 elders and grassroots families in Hong Kong.
The IN Volunteer Group has been talking about love for many years. This year is the seventh time to send the moon to the Mid-Autumn Festival. This year, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Wuhan and Taiwan, have spread love to more and more places, bringing warmth and love to nearly 10,000 families in Greater China.
In Hong Kong this year, the theme of "60s and 70s" will remind the elderly to relive the feelings of the year and bring modern young people into their world. They will enjoy the great contribution to Hong Kong today. On the day, each center is filled with the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1960s and 1970s, as if the time is back to relive the past, the nostalgic items in the scene, nostalgic songs, nostalgic lanterns, nostalgic food, so that friends are in the good old days, and taste the same year. today.
Event ambassadors TVB artists Chen Qianyang and Ms. Liang Jiaqi also jumped out of the TV frame and personally committed to playing games with friends to make moon cakes, guessing ecstasy, origami, etc., so that the atmosphere was enthusiastic and the laughter of friends continued. They are also with us to visit the elders, care about their lives, and send them love and warmth. The elders saw our event ambassadors smile, and one of them, Chen Bobo, prepared us for a surprise. He is a dim sum master with 30 years of experience. He also worked at the Peninsula Hotel and got up at 5 am this morning. The hand-made snacks are really warm in my heart.
In addition to the two event ambassadors, the three directors of Invision Charity Foundation, Dr. Chris Lam, Mr. Eric Chau and Ms. Fandy Lee, together with the guests, Mr. LEUNG Wah-sing, BBS, JP, and the guest host, Ray Chan, also came to Mong Kok today, together with the elders. Play games together and wish the Mid-Autumn Festival together.
The Director-General of the IN Volunteer Group, Huo Weijun, said: "The whole activity is led by a group of young people working in the office. When they use their spare time, they will prepare for it. From moon cakes to liaison service agencies to shoot promotional videos and raise funds and raise materials, they all get socially. Many people have support. This event is also fortunate to invite TVB artists to show their love, so that a group of elders and grassroots families can feel the warmth and joy of volunteer visits and feel that Hong Kong is a place full of human touch."
In his speech, Dr. Chris Lam, Director of Invision Charity Foundation, stated that the purpose of the event was to create love and care through visits, and to have the opportunity to create intergenerational communion for the society and to give young people the opportunity to learn from the elderly. Once we considered whether it should be postponed due to the weather, but thanked the Preparatory Committee and the volunteers for their enthusiasm and determination to serve the elders. They know that the elders are looking forward to today's activities, so they insisted on holding on schedule to achieve today's joyful activities. We know that the meaning of public welfare is continuous contribution, and we will continue to work together to create more positive energy for society.
Thanks again for the support from all walks of life to make the event richer year after year, let more people feel loved and cared for, share the joy of the festival together.
