Event Detail
Today, China and Hong Kong, including more than 100 athletes and volunteers from Wuhan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, have gathered at Victoria Harbour to support the loving and inclusive activities.
40 Wuhan IN runners, together with 60 Hong Kong and Shenzhen runners as well as the "Angel Volunteer Team", ran together and chased dreams together! Through this activity, we support the "Angel Volunteer Team" to continue to deliver the power of dreams and let more dreams fly! At the same time, promote the spirit of sports, build a friendship team together, and a love without boundaries, disabled inclusion and harmony society! In order to show that love has no boundaries, 40 Wuhan runners came to participate in the event.
Directors of Invision Charity Foundation - Dr. Chris Lam, Mr. Eric Chau, Ms. Fandy Lee, Mr. Tinly Wong, Chairman of the Foundation, Dr. Timax Tsang, together with Dr. Olivia Pong and Ms. Olive Pang and guest artist, Ms. Ka-ki Leung, attended the opening ceremony and cheered up for the runners.
Today's runners (including the Angel Volunteer Team) ran along the Central Promenade, passing the Golden Bauhinia Square and the Convention and Exhibition Centre, and then returning to the Central Promenade. The "Angel Volunteer Team" has no fear of physical obstacles, bravely ran forward. Even the wheelchair angels drove their "chariot" and ran on the runway to tell everyone that they also have the ability to join the running activity together. The shouts and cheers were mixed and very lively. The onlookers saw the hard work of the athletes, cheering for them, showing a harmonious, undivided atmosphere.
The members of the "Angel Volunteer Team" are angels (who are children with mental disabilities, hearing or visual impairment, and physical disabilities and growing in grassroots families) who have participated in previous "Fly for Love" program. Children with disabilities are difficult to be like normal children as their age to have the opportunity to fly. “Fly for Love” creates their first flight experience for these disabled children, so that they can realize their dreams of flying and believe that they can bravely pursue their dreams and to confirm themselves on their growth journey. They can believe that they have the ability to create a wonderful life, and pass on the power of dreams and continue the love. Since 2013, 265 angels have achieved to realize their dream of flying.
