For disabled people, flying is unreachable, but because of the recognition and support of enthusiastic people, not only have they realized their dream of flying, but this year is the seventh year for them to see many possibilities in life. Looking forward that people with disabilities can bring the power back to life, to the community and friends, chasing dreams with them together and creating more flying miracles!
The 7th "Fly for Love" organized by the "IN Volunteer Group" affiliated with Hong Kong Invision Charity Foundation for children with disabilities in Hong Kong. With the fully support with Tourism Bureau, Republic of China (Taiwan), China Airline, and the community service institutions from Hong Kong and Taiwan, on 30 Nov to 2 Dec “Fly for Love” team flew to Taiwan, and together with about 200 people including parents, medical team and volunteers assisting the disabled children to realize their flying dreams. After visiting the "Ten Drum Culture Village" on 2 December, it came to a successful conclusion and flew back to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
Eric Chau, Chairman of Invision Charity Foundation, said that for people with disabilities, realizing flying dreams is an unreachable thing. Thanks to the support of many people, volunteers' all the way support, the strong sponsorship of China Airlines, together with HOTEL COZZI Ximen Tainan, Taipung Suites, Tsou Ma Lai Farm, Wanpi World Safari Zoo, Ten Drum Culture Village offering discounts or fee waiver for accommodations and attractions, plus family recognition lead to successfully complete the dream of flying.
Eric Chau pointed out that through Fly for Love activities, friends with disabilities can see many possibilities in life. In the past 7 years, more than 300 families have realized their dreams of flying. However, this is only the beginning. Flying allows them to discover that their abilities are not limited to this. In the past 7 years, they went from Hong Kong to Taiwan and from Shenzhen to Shanghai to make their dreams even bigger. He said that the three places on the two sides of the strait belong to the Chinese nation and can walk together to play bigger in the future.
Sunny Fok, Director-General of the IN Volunteer Group, said that through Fly for Love, there is learning, sharing and experience. We hope that disabled people can bring their power back to life and to the community and friends after achieving their flying dreams. Everyone has their own stage and advantage, we look forward to infecting more people to chase their dreams and create more flying miracles.
At noon on 2 December, when the "Fly for Love 2019" family visited the "Ten Drum Cultural Village", the director and secretary of the Tourism and Travel Bureau of Tainan City Government also came to cheer for the children and Hong Kong and Taiwan volunteers. The organizer also issued certificate of appreciation to the City Hall, HOTEL COZZI Ximen Tainan, Taipung Suites, Tsou Ma Lai Farm, Wanpi World Safari Zoo, Ten Drum Culture Village thanking for their cares for the vulnerable children. The representative of disabled children showed their gratitude by drawing a picture book for the volunteers personally, the scene was warm and touching.
